ABOUT JON ZIEGLER

I make complex digital problems easier to understand—and easier to solve.

I’m a web, UX, and digital strategy consultant based in York, Pennsylvania. For more than 20 years, I’ve helped organizations improve websites, ecommerce experiences, enterprise applications, and digital products by connecting what users need with what the business needs to accomplish.

My work spans strategy, research, information architecture, interface design, content, development, SEO, accessibility, and conversion optimization. That range gives me a practical view of the whole customer experience—not just how a page looks, but how people find it, understand it, use it, and decide what to do next.

Design is only valuable when it solves the right problem

A polished interface cannot rescue an unclear offer, confusing navigation, weak content, or a product that ignores how people actually behave. I start by understanding the business goal, the audience, and the friction standing between them.

From there, I turn complexity into a clear plan. Depending on the project, that might mean restructuring a website, simplifying a user flow, creating a scalable design system, improving search visibility, refining the message, or identifying the few changes most likely to improve conversion.

I don’t treat UX, content, SEO, and development as isolated disciplines. They are parts of the same experience, and the strongest results come when they are planned together.

Experience from enterprise platforms to local businesses

My career began in digital design and development at Armstrong World Industries and later included UX roles with PHEAA, TE Connectivity, and AT&T Mobility. Since 2013, I have led UX/UI and creative work for Mobile Marketing, now a Cyncly company.

Across those roles, I’ve worked on customer-facing websites, ecommerce platforms, self-service applications, knowledge systems, lead-generation experiences, and reusable design frameworks. I have directed UX across more than 300 client implementations and partnered with executives, product managers, developers, marketers, and creative teams to move work from early discovery through launch and ongoing optimization.

That enterprise experience shapes how I support small businesses and growing organizations today: define the problem clearly, involve the right people, make decisions with evidence, and build something that can perform and evolve over time.

What I bring to a project

Strategy before output
I clarify the audience, business objective, requirements, risks, and measures of success before recommending a deliverable. Sometimes the right answer is a new website. Sometimes it is a focused set of changes to the one you already have.

A connected view of the customer journey
I consider how search, messaging, structure, design, performance, and conversion work together. That helps prevent one team’s improvement from creating another team’s problem.

Senior-level, hands-on collaboration
Clients work directly with me. I can lead discovery, facilitate decisions, create the work, collaborate with an internal team, or provide a practical roadmap for others to execute.

### Clear communication

Good work should not require layers of jargon. I explain the reasoning, tradeoffs, and next steps so stakeholders can make confident decisions and teams can move forward.
